CYNODON DACTYLON

Cynodon dactylon or houndstooth Wheatgrass (Bermudagrass) is a species of herbaceous plants

of the family Poaceae (grasses).

The use of Cynodon is endless: sports turf, golf courses: tees, fairways, roughs and greens ...!
Stadiums, training grounds, Polo, Horse ... Turf amenities, ornament ... and intensive Turf.



BENEFITS
Cynodon provides a vigorous and dense mat, a fairly dark green. It adapts to most soils in temperate and warm regions, except too wet and heavy soils. Cynodon has an excellent resistance to drought and high salt tolerance. It establishes quickly and is quite aggressive against other grasses. Depending on the variety, it is available to seed, stolons or rhizomes.
THE DISADVANTAGES
Its dormant period is relatively long and requires overseeding during the cold season. Mechanical operations are necessary to limit and contain his felting.
Problems of important diseases (hybrid varieties when grown widely.)
