Deficiency potassuim

Potassium deficient plants have a production restricted dry matter (carbohydrates, proteins); for fruits, vegetables, taste is less pleasant. The lodging resistance, frost and drought is reduced. Sweating and breathing are more important. Fruits and vegetables are preserved so well.
Deficiency in potassium of the corn


Symptoms:

  •  The leaves are first brownish green, and can take a brownish red color.
  • Chlorosis appears and develops from the edge of the older leaves, which eventually wither quickly.
  • Plants lack turgor and wilt (flange port).
  • The leaves curl or curl.

Deficient soils:

  • Heavy clay soils (fixation).
  • Or sandy soils rich in humus.
  • Soils insufficiently supplied with potassium.

Remedies:

  • Immediate spraying a 2% solution of potassium sulfate.
  • Soil enrichment by supplying potash fertilizer (Very very considerable clay).
  • Regular intake of potassium in terms of exports.
